Busy Rainy Day
Today was really busy. We got Charles tax refund so we caught up on some stuff, paid the bills & hit the mall. The kids both have at least a weeks worth of new clothes. Which is really good since they both need it (badly). I would still like to get Rachel a couple more dresses and she needs some shorts. Troy got a ton of t-shirts (needed sooooooo badly) and a couple pairs of shorts ($5 each! Score). Old Navy had the cutest rain jackets on sale (double score) so the kids were sporting new rain jackets today. I think I may go back and get Troy the matching rain boots – esp since he needs new shoes. His current pair have a hole in them. We looked at the mall but didn’t find any we liked that were under $20. And we finally found a Thomas t-shirt. Thank you Sears and it was on sale for $8 (regular $18 – ouch!) so got $10 off. Woo hoo.
So my grandma, aunt Kathy, uncle Andy, uncle Pete & family, uncle David & family are coming to Rachel’ s birthday party! This party just hit about 40 people.. Wow!!! I’m thrilled I can’t wait to see everyone again. So her theme is “Rachel’s Princess Party’. Of course PINK is the main color. Yes thats right I said PINK. Me the one who hated pink and was deathly afraid of having a daughter because I hated the color PINK. I am throwing & planning a to die for first PINK birthday party! We’re going to get the cake from Sams Club and have her picture on it. Pink & white – table cloths, plates, napkins, cups, balloons and streamers. We’re going to do it up GOOD.
The birthday girl is wearing a pink ballerina outfit, with a pink tutu and either pink or white tights. Its also the same outfit she’s going to wear for her one year pictures. Soo pretty. I’m debating as if I should get her little ballet shoes or not for the pictures. Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I’m so excited.
