& the results are in

We got the results in from Rachel’s MRI. They aren’t good but not really bad. The back of her head is too low and it could be a problem when she’s two or three. And the area’s in her head where there is fluid are enlarged. Which means either the veins in her head are enlarged, shes building up fluid or is leaking fluid. Yeah totally not the results we wanted. We wanted to hear she was fine and they knew exactly what was wrong with her and how to fix it. She has an appointment to see another specialist next Tuesday. Fingers crossed.

Well January is over. Wow. Where did the time go? I completed this layout for my Project12… Its like Project365 but I’m making one layout for each month. There’s no way I can take a photo every day and make a layout every week about that week. I would get maybe two months done and then just say forget it.

I’ve been thinking alot of Rachel’s MRI on Tuesday. So I decided to make a layout about it. Its def not one of more “pretty” layouts (to me at least). I focused more on the journaling and what I wanted to say.

I put myself out there. I know I haven’t been digital scrapbooking for very long but I did it. I put in an application to join a creative team. Its something I’ve always wanted to do but I’ve never felt like my work was good enough. Well I faced my fear and just submitted it. My heart was racing the entire time. lol. I haven’t felt like this since I was in high school and got called on to speak in front of the whole class. So now its out of my hands. Fingers crossed I get it and well if I don’t then that’s okay too.

So what made me do it? Well between running around at Dr’s offices for Rachel’s condition, washing peed on sheets and cooking chicken for the fourth time this week I need something for me. I need to make time to do something that I enjoy. I set a goal to create two to four layouts a month (traditional or digital). I’ve already created two this month! I’m so proud. This is MY resolution. To do something for ME. I enjoy scrapbooking so why not? By joining a creative team I get new stuff to work with every month and I get to do what I love. I really think that having new stuff to work with is going to be a big motivational part to me keeping this..

Man I’m sounding like I have to get in. If I don’t get in then like I said above it’ll be okay. I can splurge $5 a month on a new kit.. lol “splurge”. I love that word.. So now I’m just rambling. Well then again that is what I do best isn’t it?

Speaking of digital scrapbooking I’ve been going through alot of stores and there is so much stuff I want. lol. So many wonderful new designers. I’m itching to spend some money.
