So have you noticed the big change around here? How about my super cool new layout? Yeah who has a rocking blog now? Credit link in the footer – you should totally check it out.

Went to Busch Gardens with the kids last week & had a blast. The only awful thing about the day was that it was soo hot. But a nice trip to Elmo’s Splash Zone took care of that. I totally got into my bathing suit right with the kids & splashed around. Yeah I got some looks from a few adults but it was so freaking hot and well Rachel wouldn’t go in the water unless I carried her and she needed it. In fact she was so hot that she laughed and splashed in the water! No crying!!!!

So besides that we’ve just been living our lives. We did just buy a 97 Town & Country van. I love it. I now have a vehicle on Monday & Wednesdays when Charles is in class. My parents took me out to celebrate this past Wednesday – we had lunch at Olive Garden. And that reminds me Troy had his first fit in public. I was so embarrassed. He didn’t want to sit down for anything. Finally the server brought over a few of those mint candies and that got him in his chair. Then shortly after we got bread sticks and that made him happy. Rachel did well but I totally expected her too. This Sunday we are thinking of taking the kids to the water park with my sister. Its closing soon since school’s starting back up.

& before we go I just have to share at least one scrapbook page.

Went to Sea World yesterday

So we went to Sea World yesterday with my parents. Both kids loved it. Troy was amazed with the whales ( and the penguins, dolphins, sharks and seals). He loved everything! My mom brought her camera and took pictures.

A bit of a lull

I’ve hit a bit of a lull with my scrapbooking. I lost my camera charger when we moved and my battery is completely dead. I have no way at all to take pictures. And if I don’t have any new pictures I can’t have some fun. lol. I have been going back and trying to scrap my older pictures but I’ve hit a bit of a bump in that too. Ugh. I hate it when this happens.

Life has been pretty good. Regardless of my last two entries. Rachel has been attempting to walk more with her walker. Troy is well Troy. lol. He’s doing great. He’s still totally head over heels in love with trains (choo choo). lol. Ive been thinking of changing the theme up a bit. But only if I can find something I really really love.

Summer Fun Having A Blast

We took the kids to the beach today and had a blast. Rachel didn’t like the water at first but after a few waves she was loving it. She also loved eating the sand…. Weird weird child. Troy loved splashing in the waves. And of course I took pictures!

Oh and the pictures are tagged. Just because that is something I WILL be doing from now on.

Changes

There are changes coming this year. As to what you will have to just wait and see. But one change you can see is the layout. I tweaked the header, footer and some of the images to make it more of my style. I’m really loving it. Haven’t scrapbooked any new pages. I do have some pictures from Rachel’s birthday party to share. Since there are nine of them I am adding them gallery style. To view them larger just click on the image.

Happy Birthday Rachel

Last year right now (its 10:39am) I had just gotten checked into the hospital and had gotten my epidural by now. Then at 11:22pm that night Rachel was born 8lbz 1 oz and 20 inches long. My sweet baby was finally here!

This is my baby girl on Saturday at her birthday party. She is currently 28 inches and 16 and a half pounds. I can’t believe that we survived her first year. We did it.

What a wonderful life I live

I try to remind myself every day what a wonderful life I live. I try to keep in mind all the happy moments & I try to forget about all of the doctor appointments. Monday makes it one whole year since everything started. One whole year. I can’t believe its February again. I can’t believe how much has changed in this last year. This time last year all I could think of was finally holding my sweet baby girl. This February I’m worried about MRI’s, neurology visits and if my baby will be known as “the elephant baby” .

But one great thing to think of is Rachel’s birthday party on this Saturday. Everything will be perfect and I won’t let anything ruin her day. This party is just as much for our family as it is for Rachel. We survived one year of not knowing together. We made it this far together. We did it: together. Are you getting the theme here? I’ve always been a big family person. Always. So me having children didn’t change that. It just made that part of me more solid; more real.

Rachel is such a little camera ham. By this age Troy would not stay still for me to take any pictures. But Rachel will just sit there and smile.I dressed her up in her ballerina outfit yesterday and took her outside. I got the cutest pictures: here are my two favorite.
